The Sweetest Spud in Idaho
T.O. Smith founded Idaho Candy Company in Boise in 1901. The company moved into its downtown factory in 1909 and introduced the Idaho Spud Bar in 1918. Today, it continues making this regional favorite in the same historic building, connecting generations of candy lovers to a distinctive Idaho tradition.
