Slo Poke lives up to its name. This rich, chewy caramel is a candy to take your time with, letting its mellow sweetness linger rather than disappearing in a bite.
The original Slo Poke was introduced as a caramel pop on a stick in 1926. Today’s bar carries that slow-to-enjoy idea forward in a shareable, stick-free form. Add it to a nostalgic candy gift or save it for a moment when you can savor it at your own pace. Why We Chose It
There’s a Reason It’s Here.
Slo Poke brings a true 1926 story to the Candy Counter—a fitting year for our collection—and its name tells customers exactly what makes it fun. It also gives caramel lovers a classic choice alongside the counter’s chocolate bars and hard candies.

The Caramel That Was Made to Last
The Holloway Candy Company of Chicago introduced Slo Poke as a caramel pop on a stick in 1926. Its firm, long-lasting chew made the name part of the experience.
The candy changed form and ownership over the decades. Today, Atkinson Candy Company carries the Slo Poke name and sells it as a chewy caramel bar and smaller pieces. Atkinson makes Slo Poke in the United States from its East Texas candy operation.
