Keeping Necco’s Candy-Counter Tradition Alive
Spangler Candy Company carries Necco Wafers in its family of candy brands. The familiar rolls connect today’s candy counter with the long history of pressed candy wafers. Spangler acquired the Necco brand after the former New England Confectionery Company closed, helping bring the candy back to shoppers. The modern maker and the historical New England story are distinct parts of the same product’s journey.
