The Story Behind Boyer Candy Company.
The story behind the name
Pennsylvania Candy, One Cup at a Time
Boyer has been part of Altoona’s candy story since 1936. Its cup-shaped confections offer a distinctive combination of familiar flavors and contrasting textures. Mallo Cups pair milk chocolate with a marshmallow center and coconut; Smoothie Cups bring peanut butter together with a butterscotch coating. Clark Cups continue the company’s inventive approach by adding Clark Bar crunch to a peanut butter cup. These candies share a maker, but each has a personality of its own.
